My meter has been replaced, what now?

When your utility company replaces your meter, you also have to shut off your old meter in EnergyID and create a new meter.

 

Enter the last meter reading for the old meter

If you don't know the last meter reading, you might be able to find it on your next invoice.

  • Go to your meters
  • Enter the last meter reading for your old meter.
  • Click Save

 

Shut off the old meter

  • Go to your meters
  • Click the meter that you wish to shut off and choose Edit properties at the top of the page.
  • You can also change the name of the meter, for example to "Electricity (old)".
  • If you no longer wish to see the old meter in the meters tab, uncheck Show this meter in the overview.
  • Enter the date of the meter change in the field Process data to.
  • Click Save.

Attention: Shutting off a meter or hiding it does not mean that the meter readings are no longer counted.

 

Create a new meter

  • Go to your meters
  • Click Create meter at the top of the page.
  • Choose the correct meter type.
  • Fill in the meter properties.
  • Click Save.

 

Enter the initial meter reading of you new meter

  • Go to your meters.
  • Enter the initial meter reading of your new meter. This reading should be close to 0.
  • Click Save.
